To those of you who want to correct "knee valgus" (knees caving inward)
シェア
Hello, this is Takahashi.
With the motto, "What you apply to zero will remain zero,"
I work to deliver skill chiropractic care to top performers across Japan,
for those who want to improve their body usage to enhance performance,
those suffering from persistent body pain,
and those who want to build a body that is less prone to injury.

What I genuinely want to convey

It's about unleashing the 'potential' you possess.
Right now, it's just dormant.
If you currently experience any of the following:
- You get pushed around easily because your core is weak
- Your jumping ability isn't improving
- Body pain prevents you from concentrating on your play
- You're constantly injured and stuck with separate training regimens
- You lack speed and agility and get stopped easily
If your thoughts and actions are stuck there, I believe you're living a truly wasteful basketball life.
There's a way to effectively unlock your dormant power, and I want you to know about it.
Before that, please read this first.
It's a testimonial from someone who suffered a serious injury due to "knee valgus."
Ms. Asano, High School Girls' Basketball Player

I had a habit of my knees caving inward, and although I tried to fix it, I couldn't. While playing, I ended up tearing my ACL twice.
So, I asked Takahashi-san from Skill Chiropractic to help me with my rehabilitation. The reason I tore my ACL was indeed my habit of knee valgus, but I realized that my approach to fixing it was completely wrong.
Specifically, using the ball of my foot and strengthening my front thigh were entirely elements that led to injury.
I re-evaluated my previous way of thinking from scratch and dedicated myself to training.
Thanks to this, I was able to return to official games, and my "knee valgus" has significantly improved.
Getting injured feels like everything I've worked for has been blown away in an instant.
I almost gave up basketball, but I managed to stay connected. However, I think many people end up quitting because of injuries.
My parents were also deeply saddened, probably even more so than me.
(I never want to see them look like that again.)
From now on, I want to achieve results and properly give back to those who have supported me.
"I can play basketball to my heart's content!" I'm truly happy to have gotten that environment back!
Thank you very much!!
As you can see, "knee valgus" can lead to serious injuries.
However, if you correctly identify the cause and approach it properly, anyone can solve it.
If you want to know how, please read on.
↓ ↓ ↓
If you leave "knee valgus" untreated,
a future of serious injury awaits.

In a power stance
When landing from a jump
When dashing
"Knee valgus" is when the knees move inward.
When I see this movement, I feel
"They're going to tear their knee ligaments..."
"Their ACL is in danger..."
and it makes me incredibly nervous.
Because,
playing with this knee valgus posture
drastically increases the risk of tearing knee ligaments,
and it takes at least 8 months to recover,
which can significantly impact an athlete's career,
resulting in a serious injury.

*This is a post-operative photo from when an ACL was actually torn.
When this U15 girl from Osaka
was diagnosed with a torn knee ligament,
she broke down in tears.
It seemed she had to give up on playing basketball fully
in high school too.
After that, thanks to Skill Seitai and Top Performer,
she went on to a strong high school in Osaka and is now devoted to basketball!
Why does "knee valgus" occur?

This knee valgus, actually, isn't caused by the knee itself.
You might think, "Isn't it because the knee is bad that it caves inward?"
But the truth is, other parts of your body aren't being used correctly,
and as a result, your knee has caved inward.
Therefore, unless you pinpoint and address the root cause,
whether you use supporters,
taping,
ultrasound therapy,
or acupuncture,
you'll get stuck in a negative cycle
of pain subsiding and then returning.
How do we escape this cycle?
I will now share the secret answer and solution to your problem.
"The reason your 'knee valgus' isn't improving"
It's because you don't understand the fundamental structure of the body.
As I travel across Japan, I've found that 99.9% of people don't understand and practice correct body movement.
Let me delve deeper into this.
・・・・・
The first thing you should review to improve knee valgus is actually...
whether you're standing correctly.
"Huh? What does that mean?" you might think.
You might be thinking you're standing and playing sports just fine now, but...
In fact, when tested for correct standing posture,
99% of people cannot stand correctly.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This incorrect standing posture
is mostly something that has developed "unconsciously."
Humans can stand on the ground because of "gravity."
If the foot (the foundation of the body) touching the ground at that time cannot function correctly,
there is a risk of serious injury due to the sole of the foot.
You can quickly tell if your standing posture is distorted by looking at
your toes, the soles of your feet, or your insoles!
Does this mean an increased risk of future injuries?!
Can you understand the danger of this foot?
This is called 'floating toe' (ukiyubi).
You can see the tip of the toe (right below the nail).
With this toe, the tip of the big toe curls upwards,
weight shifts to the ball of the foot, making the knee more prone to collapse inward.
Try standing now and putting pressure on the ball of your foot.
Doesn't your knee start pointing inward or caving in?
To solve knee valgus,
you have to change this ball-of-foot dominant stance.
Are you trying to generate power by using the ball of your foot?
If you continue to play with this ball-of-foot dominant stance,
*The skin on the ball of the foot peels or hardens and turns yellow.
*Calluses form on the side of the big toe, or the skin hardens.
In addition, bunions, ingrown toenails, curled pinky toes, discolored or misshapen nails.
Besides your toes and soles, your lower leg (shin) will also curve.
The ball of the foot (boshikyū) is primarily
linked to the muscles that stop body movement
and plays a role in stopping motion.
(In the past, we were often told to kick with the ball of the foot! Put pressure on the ball of the foot!)
Try putting weight or pressure on the ball of your foot.
Doesn't your kneecap turn inward?
In other words, if the ball of your foot is stiff or worn down, it means
you're trying to jump high, make strong passes, or dribble forcefully using muscles meant for stopping.
You're doing something quite unreasonable.
・・・・・・・・・・・・・
This creates a disconnect between the image your brain has
and the muscles you're actually using,
putting your body in a state of panic.
・・・・・・・・・・
- Your jumping ability isn't improving
- You lack speed and agility
- Your core is weak, leading to poor balance
- You have pain in your knees, lower back, etc.
- You have growing pains, constantly resting and then playing, unable to play with full intensity
- You get physically outmatched and often fall during games
- You can't exert power when jumping
And so on, creating a negative chain reaction.
Furthermore, it shows up in your insoles, with wear and tear on the ball of your foot and heel.
This is proof that you are playing in a неправильная stance, and
your body could break down at any time, meaning your performance won't improve!
By the way, this is the sole of a certain player who is active in professional basketball (B.League)↓↓
There are no calluses on the ball of the foot, nor is the skin peeling.
This means they can continue to play at a high intensity without experiencing pain,
and their performance will continue to improve.
Here are some other cases:
"My child's knees turn inward, but they don't complain of knee pain."
Indeed, there are cases where knee valgus doesn't cause pain.
However, this isn't due to good usage, but rather the body's flexibility due to youth,
and it's a precursor to future knee pain.
I sometimes call it a precursor to ACL tears.
Even without conscious symptoms,
if you press on the inside of the knee or the shin bone below the knee with your hand,
you might feel pain, or pain in the sole, heel, or Achilles tendon, which also makes you part of the precursor group.
Furthermore, if you continue to practice in this state,
your movements will lack sharpness and speed...
your body will be weak and you'll get pushed around...
your shooting stability won't improve...
These are all factors that hinder skill improvement.
By intervening before injuries occur,
the speed at which you acquire skills will change dramatically!!
Let's work together to create a future where you can play with full intensity, free from worries about injuries and pain!
So, how do we solve this...
Unconsciously approaching the sole of the foot
"Unconsciously" is key.
For example,
when you touch something hot with your hand,
or step on something sharp with your foot,
your body automatically pulls your hand or foot away before you even say "ouch," right?
This illustrates how the human body possesses the ability to react instantly to information received through the skin.
The skin, after all, is meant to protect the body's internal functions (muscles, bones, organs) from external bacteria and impacts.
Therefore, the skin has countless "sensors" to quickly detect external stimuli.
These sensors detect even the slightest stimuli.
You've probably experienced feeling something as fine as a hair under your foot and thinking, "Oh, I stepped on something."
From that detected stimulus, your body causes some kind of change "unconsciously."
This is sometimes called 【skin reaction】, but
this skin reaction is actually strongly related to performance and speed improvement!
In conclusion,
if the skin reaction on the sole of your foot is good stimulation,
your body accepts it and becomes stronger!
If it's bad stimulation,
your body rejects it, and your power weakens.
Without understanding this mechanism of skin reaction,
if you decide based on subjective impressions or assumptions like,
"This training looks good..." or
"I was recommended this equipment...",
not only will your speed and agility not improve,
but there's a possibility of irreversible consequences like injuries or performance decline, which is quite dangerous.
Human consciousness doesn't last.
Incorrect habits develop unconsciously.
That's why,
by utilizing the mechanism of skin reaction to make your foot soles function correctly unconsciously, we will rapidly accelerate your growth!
We have now developed an insole that can solve this in one go.
Performance-enhancing insole
『Top Performer』
*Image is for illustrative purposes only.
- Supports correct standing and posture improvement!
- Helps your toes firmly grip the ground, supporting a significant change in performance!
- Proven results in alleviating pain in the soles, heels, and knees.
- Many users also report feeling lighter on their feet, among other changes.
We support you in solving your problems.
More than anything, I hope you can avoid the negative unconscious reactions your body is subjected to, which prevent physical abilities from improving even with practice, keep you from playing satisfactorily due to injuries, lead to increasingly severe issues that force you to take breaks from practice, and even result in major injuries requiring surgery.
Also, you can avoid future losses where you could have been better if not for incorrect foot usage. The catalyst for this is the Top Performer (Skill Chiropractic Insole).
In the Skill Chiropractic lesson, I learned about an approach I'd never heard before, where I could play with movements that put no strain on my knees or lower back. When something felt off or wasn't going well, Takahashi-san explained that "something" in easy-to-understand words, allowing me to learn effectively.
Also, I've tried various insoles before, but I finally found the best insole ever! I feel like my toes are gripping properly, my body feels lighter, and my jumping and lateral movements have improved! I'll continue to work hard in practice!
I received skill chiropractic care from Takahashi-san, a skilled chiropractor, focusing on two main points: [improving shooting stability and developing the skill to drive into the paint]. To improve shooting stability, we started with toe alignment and ankle usage, and for driving into the paint, I learned how to use "body rotation," practicing "drives using rotation."
He analyzed basketball movements from the perspective of body mechanics, providing a fundamental solution approach. This method is innovative and captures the essence of body movement, unlike previous skill training, and helps build a body that is less prone to injury and subject to less strain.
Last year, we were able to achieve second place in the Jr. Winter Cup.
Actually, in the spring of my third year, I injured my knee and had to withdraw from team practice.
When I looked at the movement of my injured knee, I could see that my knee was turning inward and my shin was also bowed.
At that time, Mr. Takahashi of Skill Seitai supported me, teaching me how to use other parts of my body correctly, and adjusting my insoles, so I can now play without pain. If I hadn't learned to use my body correctly then, I might not have been able to perform to my full potential at the Jr. Winter Cup.
I had been suffering from knee pain for a long time. No matter which hospital, osteopathic clinic, or chiropractic clinic I went to, it would get better temporarily, but the pain would return when I moved.
This was a repeated cycle, and I was on the verge of giving up on playing without pain when I learned about Mr. Takahashi of Skill Seitai and requested a lesson.
Mr. Takahashi's approach was completely different from anything I had experienced before.
He clearly explained why my knee hurt and its cause,
and accurately taught me how to use my body and move it during soccer to resolve it.
Thanks to him, I can play without pain! Thank you!
I will continue to train hard with Top Performer insoles!
In addition, many people, from professionals to elementary school students,
use Skill Seitai and Top Performer.
A final message from Takahashi
Injuries don't just cause pain;
- They steal precious time from players.
- They steal precious time with teammates.
- They steal precious time with family.
Children have a "bright future" ahead of them.
However, that bright future is built upon
the accumulation of experiences in each moment.
If you spend a lot of time struggling with injuries and can't play to your full potential,
you might be ruined by injuries.
Then, you become anxious and it becomes very difficult to try new things,
leading to a dark, uncertain future.
I sincerely wish for children to
learn the correct way to use their bodies
and lead fulfilling basketball lives.
If you want to correct inward-turning knees,
